Nurse Practitioners

Sarah Fellenz, a native of Wisconsin, is a Nurse Practitioner who has been in private practice dermatology most recently in Central Florida. She began her career at Great Lakes Dermatology in August 2011.

Sarah received her Associate of Science degree in Nursing in 1996 from Cardinal Stritch and her Bachelor of Nursing in 2004 from the University of Wisconsin. In 2008 she graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Master of Science in Nursing degree and became a certified Nurse Practitioner. In addition, during her medical career Sarah has also worked in long term care management, surgical services, family practice and providing on site clinical training.

Sarah is a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in both clinical and cosmetic dermatology and brings a wealth of experience treating patients of all ages to our clinics.

Kim Schwerdfeger, Nurse Practitioner, joined the Great Lakes Dermatology team in September 2011. She graduated from Concordia University's Advanced Practice Family Nurse Practitioner Program with high honors and attained her Master of Science degree in 2011. She has worked as a Registered Nurse for the last ten years in several different ICUs in the area providing advanced assessments and patient care. As soon as you meet Kim, it will be easy to see her passion for providing superb patient care and her love of dermatology. Kim is seeing patients the Racine, Kenosha and Mount Pleasant clinics.  

Andrea McDonald, Adult Nurse Practitioner, became part of Great Lakes Dermatology in October of 2011. She is a recent Marquette graduate of their Nurse Practitioner program. In addition to her studies, she has also received clinical training experience in rheumatology, Thiensville Family Practice, Cardinal Stritch’s University Health Center and the Medical College of Wisconsin Walk-in Clinic. Andrea has also worked at Froedtert as a Staff Registered Nurse for the past few years while completing her advanced degree. Andrea, a Wisconsin native from Northern Wisconsin, now lives in the Milwaukee area.
