New Providers join Great Lakes Dermatology
Great Lakes Dermatology is happy to announce that three new providers have joined GLD’s team.
Dr. Carol Prince, a board-certified dermatologist, will begin seeing patients at the Racine and Mt. Pleasant clinics in February.
Dr. Prince received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Wayne State University and a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan.
Upon completing her residency from Michigan State University’s medical school, she completed her residency in dermatology at Wayne State University.
Since finishing her residency, Dr. Prince has been in private practice for 20 years.
Dr. John Ratz, a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, will also begin seeing patients in the Racine and Franklin area in February.
Upon receiving his Bachelors of Science in Biology, Dr. Ratz completed Medical School at Case Western Reserve University.
He completed his residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and his fellowship in dermatologic surgery and oncology at The Cleveland Clinic.
For the past seven years, Dr. Ratz has worked as an independent contractor for various in institutions.
He was also a professor/director at the Dermatologic Surgery Section of Dermatology at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Gary Barsky,a board-certified dermatologist, will begin seeing patients in the Pleasant Prairie clinic in February.
Dr. Barsky has owned and operated Barsky Dermatology, Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center in Elmhurst, Illinois.
He has received impressive credentials, including his study of laser surgery and Harvard University.

Nurse Practitioner Joins Great Lakes Dermatology
Andrea McDonald, Adult Nurse Practitioner, has started seeing patients at five GLD locations: Franklin, South Milwaukee, Mount Pleasant, Brookfield and Racine.
McDonald is a recent graduate of Marquette University's Nurse Practitioner program.
In addition to her studies, she also received clinical training experience in rheumatology at Thiensville Family Practice, Cardinal Stritch's University Health Center and the Medical College of Wisconsin Walk-in clinic.

New Providers Join Great Lakes Dermatology
Great Lakes Dermatology is proud to announce that four more providers have begun seeing patients at its 10 locations.
Dr. James Franks joined the company is September. Franks is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon, who has been helping patients for more than 30 years. Franks is seeing patients in Franklin and Mt. Pleasant.
Dr. Laura Marusinec also joined the company in September. Marusinec is a board-certified pediatrician specializing in dermatology. Marusinec is currently seeing patients in Franklin, Bay View and South Milwaukee.
Great Lakes Dermatology welcomed John Claussen, a certified Physician Assistant, to the company in October. Claussen has more than 20 years of experience as a PA. He is currently seeing patients in Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie.
Kimberly Schwerdtfeger, a Nurse Practitioner, has started seeing patients in Kenosha, Mt. Pleasant and Racine. She is a graduate of Concordia University's Advanced Practice Family Nurse Practitioner program. She also received her Master of Science degree in 2011.

Great Lakes Dermatology is excited to announce that Sarah Fellenz, a Nurse Practitioner, who has practiced dermatology in Florida for several years, will joined our team in September. She has extensive clinical and cosmetic dermatology experience, with a passion for exceeding her patients' needs. Sarah is currently seeing patients in our Mt. Pleasant and Bayview clinics.
